Looking for something fun to do with or without your kids? Here are a few happenings in Pinellas County for August:
-Safety Harbor:
Saturday, August 8th: American Gladiator Family Edition
5:00-7:30 at the Community Center located at 650 9th Ave S. Cost is $5.00 if purchased in advanced or $7.00 the day of.
-Dunedin:
Friday, August 23rd: Midnite Madness 7:00-12:00pm at Laura Rec Center located at 550 Laura Lane. $15.00 if purchased by August 22nd and $20 after the 22nd.
-Saturday, August 3rd HUG Bowling Party from 11:00-1:00pm at Dunedin Lanes located at 405 Patricia Ave. Free event includes bowling, light snacks, and shoe rental. To reserve your spot contact the HUG office at 727-489-5885.
-Saturday, August 17th: Beer Olympics Level Up from 5:00-10:00pm. Registration is in front of the Dunedin History Museum a 5:00pm sharp on the 17th. $30.00 includes one drink at each of the five venue bars.
-Saturday, August 24th: Biking for Brews. Meet at Rosie's Tavern at 730 Broadway at 11:00am. 11:00-12:00 is sign in, get bikes ready, have a brew, and mingle. At 12:00 you will depart for next stop. Kids are welcome. If you don't have a bike there will be bikes available to rent for $15.00
-Tarpon Springs:
Saturday, August 10th: Hippie Fest at the Sponge Docks from 2:30-10:30. Event will include VW Bug Show, Hippie Costume Contest, Live Music, Beer and Wine.
-St. Pete:
Friday, August 2nd: Flick and Float every Friday from 7:00-10:00 at McLin Pool located at 602 14th Street S. Ages 3-12 $2.00 and 12 and up is $3.00.
