Hello everyone,

There is so much going on in the world, that I feel so overwhelmed on which topic to give my opinion on first.  I would love to hear from you too.  Your opinions on topics I am writing about or topics you would like my opinion on.  Again, let me express that these are just my opinions.  I am a very open minded person and always willing to hear another side on all topics as I feel it helps us grow and become more understanding, and hearing another person out might just change your opinion.

My purpose in these blogs are to allow you to get to know your realtor, as meeting with a realtor doesn't mean you have to use that realtor.  I fully believe that our first few encounters are like a job interview.  Now as with every relationship there are topics you avoid, such as religion and politics, and sadly COVID seems to become on of those taboo topics.  Well, if I am going to allow you to truly know and trust me then I have to give my opinion of tough topics and topics that most of us like to avoid, so here we go..............

Today, I will be talking about politics.  Not who I voted for etc but my opinion on what is wrong, based on my narrow view.  As a simple hard working middle class female I will start by saying I detest party lines.  I am registered as an independent and will remain that way until the day I die.  When it comes to political talk, I am a sit back and listen to what people say.  I do this for several reasons and the first one is, you don't discuss political views with friends, family etc.  More important you can learn a lot about a persons view when you sit back and listen.  With this, I have discovered that if you are a republican it is always the democrats fault.  If you are a democrat it is always the republicans fault.  You can't tell me you agree with every decision your elected president makes, and by elected I don't mean who won I mean if the candidate you voted for won the election.  You also can't tell me this makes sense?  Yes, you choose to register as a particular party because you tend to lean more towards that parties view but there is still no way that elected official is doing everything right, so why are we as The People acting like that is the case!?  Again, this makes no sense and if we want a change! Doesn't it always have to start within first?  If you agree with that statement then I think the fist change is to register as an independent, vote for the best candidate, and force our government to do away with parties.

I also feel that tenure for the House and Senate needs to be changed!  Why do we only allow our presidents two 4 year terms but members of the House and Senate can spend 50+ years in Congress?  Do we set the two 4 year terms to help avoid corruption?  To bring in new fresh ideas and points of view?  If you are reading this and you said yes to both or any of these ? (sorry my cue button isn't working) should we not be afraid?  What can we do to make a change?

Since I have talked so much about wanting change I will lastly address this political topic and that is the lack of respect for elected officials.  I am deeply troubled by the overall lack of respect that seems to be present in this world right now but even more so for all elected officials.  Is your way or my way the only way or the best way?  I am not perfect, but things I try to do before judging is to put myself in that situation.  Could you do better?  Can you imagine running not only our Country but taking on the huge gravity that every decision you make will not only have an impact on the great USA but also other Countries!  What I am saying is don't be so fast to bash our elected officials, as I think they are trying to make the best decision for the masses, don't forget they are privy to information that we are not.  I think everyone deserves the benefits of doubt.  I will post a few verses at the end but in closing I will just add that I love this Country.  We certainly don't do everything right but I still think we are the best Country in the world!  With that show love and support for everyone who serves our great Nations and God Bless us all!

Romans 13:1  Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established.  The authorities that exist have been established by God.

1 Timothy 2 1-2:  I urge you, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people for kings and all those in authority that we may live peaceful and uiet lives in all godliness and holiness.

What happened to love and respect?  Why can't we all respect each others opinion and all get along?

Love, peace, and respect to you all!
